Brusfri

playlist_add Wishlist

iTunes Description:

Brusfri* is a highly advanced audio noise reducer, packed into a simple and straight-forward interface. It is very well suited for cleaning up noisy audio recordings, while retaining sound quality. Unlike many other noise reducers on the market, Brusfri doesn't mess with audio phasing to suppress noise (a technique that often comes with audible side effects). Instead, multiple fine-tuned gates are used to silence unwanted noise.

Brusfri can also be used as a AUv3 plug-in in compatible hosts, for example in GarageBand.

*Brusfri means "Noise free" in Swedish.

Here are some examples of sound conditions that Brusfri handles well:

* Guitar amp
* Noisy vintage gear
* Boosted pre-amp
* iPhone/iPad and external mic hiss
* Room reverb removal
* Fan noise
* Background ambiance
* Mains hum / Electric hum

Usage

In short, press “Learn” during a couple of seconds of isolated noise to create a "profile" for noise. This may be all you need to do.

Brusfri can be used in two ways, either standalone or as a AUv3 plug-in.

Standalone
Import the audio, either by extracting audio from a video, by importing from iTunes, or by using the “Open In…” option in any other app that can export audio. Press and hold the Learn button (the ear) while playing unwanted noise. (It’s important that the Ear is only fed with isolated noise). When Learn is released, Brusfri will start reducing noise. On iPhones, you need to swipe left on the Ear to reveal the Expander functions, or swipe right for Filters.

AUv3 plug-in
Open Brusfri in any AUv3 compatible host.
Find a region in the recording that only contains noise and play it.
Tap and hold the “LEARN” button for a short while (a second will be enough). When the LEARN button is released, Brusfri will start reducing noise.

There are a bunch of parameters available that affect the noise reduction algorithm:

ATK / THRS / REL (Attack Time / Threshold / Release Time)
Threshold - basically determines how much noise to be removed. A lower value means more reduction.
Attack and Release sets the time it will take for the reducer to start working.

EDGE
Controls the reduction aggressivity. A lower value gives a smoother reduction.

HPF
Reduces low frequencies.

HIGH
Compensates high frequencies by boosting them.

NOTE! Brusfri is CPU intensive and iPhone 6 / iPad AIR 2 or better is recommended. When used as an AUv3 plug-in, we highly recommend freezing/bouncing tracks to reduce CPU usage.

2XB303 Bass Sequencer EDM-303

playlist_add Wishlist

iTunes Description:

A creative bass synth sequencer for creating electro melodies or dirty phat & funky acid techno 303 style basslines.
Inspired by the acid house music scene. An IOS exclusive, compared to a modern equivalent to Rebirth (Rebirth was a popular tb - 303 clone a decade ago).
Look at the video tutorial for a how-to guide. Listen to what you can create easily with 2XB303.
Create house, techno, edm or synth sequences using standard step functions as seen on various sequencers like the Roland SH 101 synthesizer or sequences can be generated randomly.
Easily capture whatever you hear and export to AudioShare, Audio-Copy, Email or iTunes Shared Folder.
Support for Audiobus 3 routing, Ableton Link, IAA (Inter App Audio)
Tweaking cut-off & decay Env-Mod & glide & accent etc for that classic sweet-spot acid growl Tap to dials to swipe up & down for fine adjustment of knobs.

The sound was first compared to a Cyclone TT - 303 & tweaked to extend sound shaping beyond a just bass maker. Waves have optional harmonic version, noise, LFO, glide speed & PHAT/ BASS, and great effects. This is designed to give more electro music creativity beyond an acid synth 303 bass maker to create dynamically fluctuating overlaying electronic patterns. A good addition to any drum and bass, acid, techno, house and any other EDM fans

LIVE CONTROL feature:
Use the keyboard for the following cool tricks:
[Sequence/Control/Transpose]: Transpose both channels simultaneously while playing.
[Sequence/Control/Pattern]: Instantly switch to a saved sequence while playing. Keys correspond to stored program numbers, starting from the current program thats loaded (key 1 is your current program, key 2 is current program+1). Highlighted keys show stored programs. This is great for building up live tracks, or instant crossfading between programs. You can also "Hold settings" so it locks settings like effects.

METRONOME: Toggle drum beats -better than tick-tocks to accompany your bass lines

MOD:
LFO auto control low pass CUT-OFF and/or PITCH. The pitch level can give a vintage effect subtly detuning with low SPEED or faster for chaotic random pitches.

EFFECTS (Global/master are in yellow.)
OVERDRIVE, COMPRESSION adjusts threshold, ratio, & gain. This is a global effect.
ECHO tempo synced with feedback & wetness.
SAVE ALL. When not playing, save to memory.

SYNCING
Ableton Link syncs with apps .Enable for precise timing without syncing. Press LINK button at the bottom for settings.
MIDI sync with External, Virtual or Audiobus. 2XB 303 can be master or slave. ( any simple class-compliant USB should work but some may need to be power assisted)
Virtual MIDI In is always on. If you send from another app AND receive MIDI clock then you will be receiving both MIDI CLOCKS. Choose only one unless you want double tempo (which can be interesting).
While Ableton Link is enabled you can send clock. This means you can use one app to control 2XB303 alongside external hardware
MIDI note data is sent out on each channel

AUDIO
Record a fixed length, default to 32 steps. Can be changed in settings.
Arming the sampling with CAPTURE (flashing). Starts at counter 1 (ON).
PLAY CAP to listen to your sample loop.

Audiobus 3 and IAA (Inter App Audio) Support. Route audio to mix or record into other applications
Audio can be routed via IAA into apps like Apple's Garageband.
Garageband will also sync your sequence for excellent multi-track recording.

To save you press "Save all", it then flashes. Now choose destination ("!" means its occupied ) then press "Save All" to confirm.

Infinite Looper

iTunes Description:

https://youtu.be/7UTYaOUfY8k
From the stage to the studio, Infinite Looper will let you capture musical ideas, and can provide the framework for songwriting, all in a single integrated app. Loop MIDI phrases easily, control six different instruments, and quickly assemble loops into full songs. Visit the Secret Base Design web site for details and demonstration videos.

* MIDI Looping
There are dozens of audio looping apps; Infinite Looper expands on this idea, allowing you to quickly select different synthesizers, and loop the MIDI to each with perfect synchronization. Each of the instruments can have up to eight simultaneous loops. The loops can be of different lengths, up to sixtyfour measures long.

* Internal SoundFont Engine
Built into the app is an extensive SoundFont library with hundreds of instruments, and multiple drum kits. Pianos, strings, guitar, brass, synthesizers -- it's all there. Everything you need to get going right away.

* Inter-App Audio
Infinite Looper can host IAA-compatible synth apps -- take advantage of the wide range of innovative synths.

* MIDI In and Out
The app recognizes MIDI from other apps, over Bluetooth connections, and from hardware controllers. Secret Base Design is the developer of the innovative Apollo MIDI over Bluetooth -- the first Bluetooth MIDI solution for iOS. We're also partners in the musicIO app, which allows both audio and MIDI to be sent over an ordinary iOS sync cable. The app is built using the excellent MIDIbus library -- the Secret Base Design team has been at the forefront of MIDI on iOS for years.

* More that just loops. Songs.
Built into the app is a loop sequencer -- select different sets of loops for each section of a song, and the app will step through them automatically. You can build complex compositions, so that your songs evolve and breathe.

* MIDI Export
The iPad is an excellent music sketch pad, but it's not the end of the road. Infinite Looper will export a MIDI file for a song, which can be loaded into professional desktop DAWs. Use your iPad to put together a demo, and then bring in the full set of studio tools to finish your masterpiece.

* Keyboards and Pads
The app features a responsive piano-style keyboard -- adjust note velocity by touching towards the tops of the keys. And because on-screen keyboards can be hard to play, there's also ten pages of programmable pads. You can quickly assign notes or chords to pads, making it easy to capture the progression for a song idea, and bring the whole thing into focus.

* Quantization and MIDI Latency
To lock down timing, you can toggle on quantization -- or leave it off, for a loose, natural feeling. If you use external MIDI controllers, there can be latency in the MIDI messages -- the app can time shift slight to account for the delay of Bluetooth connections or WiFi. And if you use an audio-to-MIDI converter app like MIDImorphosis, latency compensation can tighten up the timing.

* All the standards
Infinite Looper supports Ableton Link, making it easy to synchronize the app with other Link-enabled apps. There's full support for Inter-App Audio and IAA MIDI, and Audiobus too.

* MIDI Learn
If you're playing live, your hands might be busy with a keyboard or a guitar. With MIDI learn, you can control the app with a foot controller. Toggle on and off recording, switch tracks, and more. Infinite Looper is ready to be taken on stage, and used live.

* Import and Export
Easily share projects with friends using AirDrop, Dropbox, or by email.

----
Infinite Looper uses the Ableton Link library, the Audiobus library, and the MIDIbus library. Internal sounds are from the SoundFont set by Christian Collins.

ChillScape

iTunes Description:

ChillScape is a tool for quick bursts of mindfulness and anxiety relief. Lose yourself in the mesmerising graphics and beautiful soundscape that are both inspiring and calming. It can be used to relax, focus the mind or filter out unwanted distractions such as pain or negative thoughts.

** iPhone App of The Week - TechRadar **
** App of The Week - Cult of Mac **
** December 2018 Must Have Downloads - Vodafone UK **

We worked with Dr Chris Howard to apply concepts from cognitive psychology to our generative music algorithm, designed to play sounds and tones to relax the listener. This algorithm is coupled with a mesmerising interactive interface to engage the user in a state of flow.

ChillScape makes it easy to fit a dose of mindfulness into a busy schedule. People are using it to manage spells of anxiety, to help with their sleep routine or as warm-up to a traditional mediation session.

*** What some of our users are saying ***
“Incredibly calming even when feeling very upset and anxious”
“I felt my mind clearing in a way I’ve never been able to achieve through attempts at mindfulness meditation“
“Best quick response mindfulness app I’ve come across :)"
“I recommend this to anyone that works long hours and want something to take the edge off”
"...my first session caused my to fall asleep for three hours"
“A great warm-up to a meditation session”

*** This is how it works ***
Each chill session starts with low pitched tones, similar to those experienced in the womb.

As you pop bubbles melodies play and the soundscape evolves. Layers of sound are gradually introduced - with frequencies known to stimulate calm and create feelings of euphoria.

Underneath the music there is a soft ‘pulse’ that gradually slows from 60 to 50 beats per minute through the session. A phenomenon called “entrainment” means that your breath and body will naturally try to follow this rhythm, consequently reducing your heart rate and blood pressure.

As you progress the generative audio engine will produce new sounds providing you with a continually evolving experience.

The new autoplay mode lets you use the app when your screen is off. Just close your eyes and enjoy the musical progression.

HealthKit integration and in-app stats let you keep track of the length of your sessions.
