NAMM is about to kick off and we're already getting some exciting news!
Boutique manufacturer Twisted-Electrons is set to release MEGAfm, a hardware FM synth that exposes all of its controls with 32 sliders and 14 knobs. The name is a reference to the Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis in North America). It utilizes 2 Yamaha YM2612 sound chips, which were also found in the classic video game console. They are accepting orders for €474.00 (excl. VAT), but do not indicate when they will be shipping.Tuesday, January 14, 2020 by Tim Webb
