KORG Rhythm Master

The non-obvious synergies in Japanese companies have always fascinated me. Yamaha is a beloved brand among both musicians and motorcyclists; with a history in pianos going back to the 1800's, and motorcycles after World War 2. The only commonality being that Yamaha were good at making stuff and they knew something about metallurgy. Now Korg is wooing golfers with the technologies they've developed over the years making metronomes. This is clever, and considering how much golf accessories are, probably profitable!

Video Description (Google & Tim Translation):

Rhythm Master is a golf swing trainer that Korg presents with technologies that Korg has cultivated over the years in the tuner / metronome field. Match your swing to the light and sound flowing through the display. By repeating this, you can acquire the correct rhythm with practice.

I hope they are charging $700 for it. I somehow like the idea of the 1% funding Korg's synth R&D;.

At first glance I thought it was an IAP for Gadget.

"That's a weird looking Gadget!"

That was honestly the first thing I thought of too when I saw the video in my feed! Like maybe the golf stuff was just a forced (and odd) metaphor.
