Pioneer DJ Toraiz SP-16

Pioneer DJ Toraiz SP-16 is a wild new bit of gear from Pioneer and Dave Smith Instruments. Dave Smith makes some excellent synths, and more recently he's been doing some interesting collaborations. This Sampler/Sequencer is the weirdest by far though as Pioneer tries to get in on the standalone performance instrument market. The TORAIZ SP-16 looks amazing, I love those sequencer buttons, but it's pricey at $1,500.

DJ TechTools got some hands on time with the new instrument. I've embedded a jam here and there's also a First-Look Video, which helpfully provides a pronunciation key for, "Toraiz."
