BeatMirror, quick mini review

I was playing drums at a rehearsal for tonight's show. I decided to set up BeatMirror in an inconspicuous spot so I could just see how I was doing. Over the years, I've struggled with having good time-- especially when I get a little nervous. I've steadily improved over the years, and have worked with metronomes in several different ways to improve my inner sense of tempo.

I was relieved to see that my general time-keeping on drums was very steady. That's due in part to my having played now for enough years, but also just having more of a sense of how to hear time. The app was helpful for me to make very minor adjustments to stay within 1 BPM of my target.

It's not a crime if tempo has more drift than that, but for me, I'm just trying to have the freedom to lock it down if I want to.

The app couldn't be easier to use.
