Chris Moulios has released a new pad-based instrument app, but the real news is how he made it! This marks the launch of Make Audio Apps, a framework for quickly developing your own music apps! Make Audio Apps is in Alpha, and free to download now.

Droboto iTunes Description:

Droboto is a live music performance application that provides 64 robotic distorted drum samples on easy to play drum pads.

Control the amount of sound distortion by dragging the controls located on the robot's mouth and antenna.

This app is authored using the Make Audio Apps editor. You can get more information at http://makeaudioapps.com.

Hi this is Chris Moulios the developer. The source code for the Framework and the Droboto app are freely available via Github. The project is very "alpha" right now but is going to be updated regularly with new features (built in support for Inter App Audio is next!). Documentation and tutorials are also coming soon. Thank you so much for the interest in the project!

Is this project Mac only?

Sorry yes - Mac only for the editor and the only target is iOS... but maybe the project can support more as it continues.

I wonder how hard it would be to add mute groups and sample editing/import. I just want to make a virtual mpc! :D
