To tell the truth I don't have audiobus, not because I don't want it but because I'm afraid it won't be able to run on my old iPod touch 4th gen. If anyone has audiobus on a fourth gen or could put it on one I'd love to know how we'll it works.

The ability to save preset routings is huge for me. Even if it can't save the states of the apps like a DAW can with VST's (maybe it can, but I don't see how), I think it's a big step forward.

My cheesy nightly ritual consists of jamming with SynthMate or Chordion over apps like DM1, MoDrum and BassLine. Usually, I just run the pattern-based apps in the background. But, this will make Audiobus much more useable for me as I can slot AUFX: Dub and WOW Filterbox in there.

@Newb I tried AudioBus on an iPad 1, which has about the same specs as an iPod touch 4. It was possible to run with just one input, one output, and no effects. But overall probably not worth it. I recommend getting an iPad. ;P

Well AB became essential for most and AB2 looks even better.

Multitrack along with the ability to save setups is huge. It almost turns AudioBus into a DAW of sorts, with all compatible apps serving as plugins.

It almost seems too good to be true. Can't wait to see if my ipad along with audiobus 2 can handle twenty or thirty simultaneous apps running all at the same time...and why would I do that ? Just to see what happens :)

Some men just want to watch the world burn...

Lol Tim! Guess I see the humour when they say you can run much more apps simultaneously. Just curious to see how much it can handle.....guess that's just me
Any ways can't wait to try it out
When is the street date for AB2?

They haven't said exactly yet.

Just checked out audiobus's site and audiobus 2 will be an update to the original app. Should be good

Ok thanks Tim
Real curious to see how Auria works with Animoog and a few other effects running simultaneously because it can be a strain on audiobus in its present state to handle just these two apps without functionality problems. And that's running it all on the latest IOS Mini Ipad retina with its 64 bit architecture ! Fingers crossed

Re: using audiobus on iPod Touch 4th Gen:

I use audiobus on a 4th gen iPod Touch no problem. I use it with my iRig Stomp. Settings chain consists of Mic for the input with effect of choice (i.e. AuxFX Space, Echo Pad, AudioReverb, Filtatron, Magellan Jr whatever I feel like using at the time) in the FX section and speaker out to the iRig. No issues. Works great. Sounds awesome.

Hopefully 7.1 comes out soon so we can at least use audiobus without audio stutters and breakup. Is he demoing this on iOS 6?

Stereo, I hate to break the news to you but... the way you are using Audiobus on your iPod Touch is the same as using each of those apps as standalone apps. Audiobus is totally not needed in those scenarios :)

Maybe Magellan is the only app you listed that needs to be in Audiobus in order to process the mic signal thru effects.

lol... yeah I know hx what your saying is true. My point was to say audiobus works on the iPod 4th gen. but it prob'ly won't when the new versio comes out. Sorry I should have made that more clear in original post. My duh!!

I'll go back to lurking mode again.....
