・MIDI Learn, Mackie Control (MCU) and HUI protocol support
Easily control Cubasis remotely, via your external controller. Enable MIDI Learn and simply move a knob or fader on your controller to assign it to a selected parameter. What's more, you can load existing presets for your controller or save your own. And if your controller supports the Mackie Control (MCU) or HUI protocols, you're covered right away too. Yes, it's that easy.

・Audio Unit Instrument Multi Out support
Cubasis is designed to let you focus on creating music. Audio Unit Multi Output support lets you quickly assign the single instrument sounds of a drum kit to individual outputs, or allows you to route individual instruments to discrete channels. Of course, when using these features you can expect unparalleled usability. This really sets our award-winning Cubasis app apart from the crowd.

・Sidechain support
Use a few simple taps to create that classic, warm pumping sound we all love when listening to many genres of music — be it hip hop, pop, heavy techno… you name it. But there is so much more to it. Create punchy kicks, make vocals stand out in the mix or separate frequencies from each other. It’s super simple to set up and yet so powerful.

・Extended MIDI routing
Make use of extended MIDI routing options to create inspiring tracks in a snap. Modulate vocals to make them sound robotic, using the new extended MIDI routing options alongside our Waves Tune RT IAP or a third-party vocoder iOS app, manipulated via an existing MIDI track. Explore even more creative possibilities via advanced MIDI track-to-track routing options.

・Improvements
Music always comes first and we don't want anything to get in your way. We want to keep your creativity and enthusiasm flowing as smoothly as possible. Cubasis 3.3 includes many improvements which deliver the best possible performance with the utmost stability. There are so many videos for this one. Mobile Music Pro and Paako_Bravoo showed off MIDI learn. Reader michael nervOus discovered that the Mackie Control support works with his TASCAM mixer.

Embedded here is a playlist of videos from the official Steinberg Mobile Apps YouTube channel.

This update is huge and I'm loving all the youtube content everyone is posting. I'm having some great success today with Cubasis and midi learn, mackie protocol and just all around improvements with in/out audio and midi. Just one ipad and a one audio midi interface / controller. It is a good day indeed. Heading to rate the app now.
I did not have much success with Cubasis 3, I wanted to love it but to many issues, Pops Crackles problems loading even 1 Auv3, and IAA’s
Version 2 is more stable for me.
Buyer Beware

Anti-modular way.
Sadly I have not managed to get my Tascam US 2400 to work properly, but I'll keep trying. It responds perfectly to touch moves made on the iPad, but not the other way around so It's rather pointless...It "sorta" works with Auria Pro but only 8 faders.

The MIDI learn is long over due. The MIDI CC information is only recorded when track automation is set to write so keep that in mind. Unless I'm doing it wrong.

Did experience some major hard froze up crashes in the short time I messed around with it.

Man, I feel your pain. That has to suck.
So how did you assign 8 faders in Auria?
What menu is that under?

The Tascam data is divided in to “ports” or banks of 8 channels. Each port represents a separate MIDI device. Cubasis does see all that, and can connect to them. Transport, mute/solo, record enable and pan worked but the faders were messed up. I think the touch sensitive fader data confused things.
If I remember correctly Auria only recognized port 1 so only channels 1-8 were available.

I did manage to get it working with the Tascam controller. Also had a great time controlling micrologue with my Moog SUB25.
