The Memory Collection samples are very well suited to be further chopped to create new samples and kits made with a single sample. This can be done manually but automatic slicing software and apps can be a great help by doing it faster and giving some unexpected results.
I have previously done a few videos with VirSyn ReSlice, Kymatica Sector and SingleCell Software Caustic. Here I am taking 2 samples from Memory Collection 08 - Horror Comedies, slicing them with ReSlice and using its export feature to export the slices as individual wav files a single zip.
They can then be used in any app or software that can load wav files. Here I have imported then in NanoStudio 2 to create two Slate kits. The first one has 16 samples (slices) but I have duplicate them in pads 17 to 32 with different pitch settings to create variety. The second kit has 9 samples.
They can be downloaded from my Free Sounds page:
The Memory Collection packs are audio samples from Public Domain novies, TV shows and ads. Visit this page for more info and free demos:
Other apps used in the video are Kymatica AudioShare and Audiomodern Riffer.
