AudioLayer Update

VirSyn updated AudioLayer for the first time since 2018! This is a big update too! Lots of new sample import formats are supported, and even SoundFonts(SFZ). If you import WAV files, AudioLayer will now observe any loop markers you may have added. AudioLayer is also on sale for 35% off.

What's new in AudioLayer v1.1.0:

- VSCO Sample Library for download
- Integrated PDF User Manual
- SFZ Import
- Sample recorder preview and basic trimming added
- Reverse playback option for samples
- On Screen Keyboard: vertical Velocity option added
- New audio formats on sample import allowed: mp3, m4a, caf, flac
- Optional local copy of cloud based instruments
- WAV audio file loop marker import
- LFO/Envelope amount controller added
- Copy/Paste Sample Layers
- Export/Import instrument folder with samples for library exchange
- Memory/CPU optimisations
- Numerous minor improvements
- Numerous bug fixes

This app is underrated in many ways. There hasn't been a full-fledged sample player like this for iOS-- with the focus on user samples and a proper key/velocity range editor. VirSyn had promised SoundFont import when they released it, and I'm glad and thankful to them that they followed through.

As a side-benefit to me, I have some sounds I'm mapping to sfz for G-Stomper's Producer/VA-Beast. So I'll be able to use them with AudioLayer as well.

The modulation functions in AudioLayer are pretty basis. The envelopes are old-school vector ADSR. But that said, at least they work as they should. I'd love to see more segments and/or curves in the envelope generator.

Right now, SampleLayer's main function for me is as a back-up. If my K2661 ever fails, my best second option is to use AudioLayer for all the sample-based parts of my live rig. I could use a laptop and Kontakt, but I'd rather use my iPad.
