Gaz Williams has launched a new YouTube series, L.A. Stories! The first episode features a discussion with Tim Exile about his upcoming app Endless... while walking through a park. Never skip cardio!

Video Description:

In this first of episode of my new series LA Stories, I meet with Tim Exile at the Griffith Observatory overlooking L.A. We have a deep discussion about the underlying philosophies of his groundbreaking collaborative app Endlesss. Visit Endlesss.FM to learn more about this incredible jamming software.

Apologies for some dodgy gimbal related footage with my massive head taking up far too much screen real estate!

Hmm… Lots to chew on. There’s something special to musicking together which has little to do with industry. If you call it a hobby and you do it with friends, for fun, you don’t necessarily need to spend too many brain cycles about whether or not you’ll make money from it. In fact, you probably end spending quite a bit of money on something pleasurable. Satisfaction is enough of a “return on investment”.

Sad that Gaz didn’t get into how Endlesss could fit in the broader musicking app ecosystem. Especially with AUv3. Part of the reason I have to get into Endlesss is that it doesn’t fit in my AUv3-centric flow.

As for the gimballing, some of it felt like those old movies with people driving in front of fake backgrounds.
