miRack Update

miRack, from mifki Limited, was updated with IAA MIDI. This is supposed to offer more accurate timing than with CoreMIDI when working with other apps.

What's new in miRack v2.02:

This update adds IAA MIDI support. This provides much better timing accuracy than Core MIDI when connecting other apps like sequencers to miRack (via an IAA host app).

There’s a MIDI API that’s not CoreMIDI in iOS? I was unaware that there’s a thing called Inter-App Audio MIDI. Also, isn’t IAA a deprecated API by Apple?

Yes on both counts. IAA MIDI is something different, and yes it is deprecated. To programmers deprecated means, "Eh, you probably shouldn't use it... but you will for the next 10 years anyhow."
