NAMM2020: Rhythmo BeatBox MIDI Controller with Speakers

Shazamm the iPad Producer found a hidden gem at NAMM! This DIY MIDI controller, with built-in speakers, will ship with an iPad app. They had successful Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns last year, and intend to begin shipping to backers in March. You can still pre-order on Indiegogo for $140, before the price goes up to $160.

I like this kind of thing. I like that it has built-in speakers that actually look like they can produce some sound. The design looks pretty clever, and surprisingly resilient.

I get why the speakers point away from you, but it would have been cool to have some way of porting the front so you can hear from the rear. (Sounds like a fart reference).

Well it is DIY, so you could (probably) easily make your own case to point them however you want!
