Kickstarter: PlantWave by Data Garden

MIDI Sprout developer Data Garden has launched a new Kickstarter for their next plant-based music maker. PlantWave is developed with a mobile app in mind, making it easier to connect to the device.

While the MIDI Sprout would generate MIDI data from plants, PlantWave cuts out the middleman to generate music directly. That seems like a step down for me, but I'm sure more people will want it as a ambient music maker.

They expect to ship PlantWave in June 2020 for $300, but you can get in on a pre-order discount today for just $220. I pay a lot of attention to the performance of Kickstarter campaigns and I think this one is going to be a hit. They've already reached 20% of their goal in just the first few hours.

PlanetWave? I think it’s PlantWave. That is to say, music generated by plants.
Having said that, PlanetWave could be cool too...like music generated from the earth’s magnetic and gravitational field and so on....but I really do think they call it PlantWave.
Maybe just an autocorrect thing....
Just saying.
And I’d love a freebie or something for pointing that out. Maybe some top soil. Or some grass to smoke...

Wow, I can't believe how many times I typo'd PlanetWave there. That is kind of amazing. Thanks for pointing it out! I think I've corrected them all!
