UNL MUSC 198: Creating with the iPad

University of Nebraska–Lincoln is teaching music with iPads! We've seen lots of schools using iPads in their music programs before, but I believe this is the first time I've seen that at the University level. Here is a little promo they shot to show off the course.

Sounds like it’s not the first time they do so. https://newsroom.unl.edu/announce/cse/786/4760
Sounds like a good option for music classes for computer science and other non-music-majors. They can learn meta-concepts, and have pretty gratifying experiences to help support their learning.

A single class that taught an overview of digital music production for instrumental/vocal performance majors (i.e., non-music-production majors) could include working with desktop and mobile software to make music. And iPads could be a portion of that work. They'd get a nice overview of music/audio production.

My Alma Mater! Go BIG RED! My majors too.

I studied with Dr. Moore (way back in the 90's) and he's a great guy.
