Let's Play with Zero Input Mixing

In the last three Let's Plays, I played around in the granular apps released this year. It occurred to me that it might also be helpful to do a video on how to quickly develop a lot of rich textures for use in them. For that I like to turn to Zero Input Mixing as a fun creative exercise in sound design. I let my freak flag fly on this one!

Video Description:

Apps like Audiobus and AUM have made effects apps a mainstay of iOS music production for years. Let's make some fun textures for our granular synths, using just effects apps and no input!

Thanks for sharing this. I could listen to music like near 7:30 for hours. Great video working within restrictions.

Thanks, Mike! Yeah, I sometimes hit on a unique texture and lose a lot of time just soaking it in. During my prep for this video there was one point where I felt like discovered an unreleased Throbbing Gristle album.
Shaper is a pretty cool little fx unit! I been using it a lot lately! Got Rozeta tonight, I been missing out with that!

No update today, but hopefully you can still see the comments. Happy Christmas Tim and a huge thank you for everything you have contributed to iOS musicians everywhere. I am now living in France but started following your site daily when I was living in New Zealand. It is still the best in terms of coverage, biting wit and inspiration. Wishing you and your family all the best over the holiday season and for the New Year. And yet another year of fantastic Discchord articles for us to enjoy.

Thank you very much guys! There were updates today, but they came about 2 hours late. I've been celebrating the Solstice pretty hard...
