My most used music creation tool. However... I have skipped the last 3 additions...

I'm kind-of tired of every other add-on being a sample player.

I have a list of demands that must be met by June 2019...

1: A speech synth - it must be based around speak and spell... it must be called "Dallas".
2: FX change automation record for all of the synths rather than just Marseilles.
3: More advanced editing on the piano roll.

I, for one, welcome our sample player overlords!

Long live the sample player... May they be fruitful and multiply!

You'd like to see all future gadget releases based on sample players yes?

I do find it strange that going back to my days of real music hardware I never purchased one sampler! All synths and workstations. I would have liked a Fairlight CMI back in the day.

Abu Dhabi is very useful in Gadget. I don't really get the point of the latest reason gadget sampler.

Well Korg Gadget is nice and it was great when I became a beginner IPad musician in 2013, but since then music flow has improved for me getting into Ableton and while Gadget is great, I’m going to have to say that its sound engine is woefully inadequate for professional sounding music and Ableton is actually and should be the end result of every iOS musician to incorporate into their workflow. Dont get me wrong, I use my IPad Pro everyday and apps like Bias Amp and hundreds more are to be had on the cheap, but for final production, so much easier on my Ableton. Gadget’s mixer is nice but the effects are lacking like Waves, though we have a few on Cubasis now and Fabfilter in Auria. I think the IPad and Gadget remain our secret (and much cheaper weapons) as iOS musicians. Korg is great and their standalone synths are simply smashing and I use all of them every week to transfer recordings to my Mac. All in all we are living in a golden age of Digitial music production. ENjoy!

What's great is doing all your composing on the go in Gadget, and then outputting an Ableton Project file in midi and finishing and polishing it all off in Ableton :) Killer workflow.

I have to agree. Gadget was the app that really got me creating music again (previous work was on dedicated keyboard workstations many years ago). For the past few years it has been nothing but gadget for me. That's a blessing and a curse. On the one hand I find the app very inspirational and the music flows easily. On the other hand it's a walled-garden and ultimately limiting. This year I decided I wouldn't find Beatmaker 3 confusing anymore and have been making tracks with it.

Had a play around with ableton and a few vst synths recently and was amazed at the audio quality in comparison to what I'm hearing on my iPad. I don't have a pro audio interface for PC... just onboard sound but still the jump in audio quality is significant.

I'd have to spend time learning ableton though.

Just midi? No unique sounds from the ipad synths then?
