unklepop: DRUM

Reader unklepop just released unklepop: DRUM! This is an AUv3 drum module, or it can be used standalone with a built-in 16-step sequencer. This gives you both the sounds and the workflow of a classic drum machine. It can also be used standalone with Ableton Link to keep it in sync!

Unklepop is among the many new advertisers that stepped up to keep discchord alive!

See, I will buy this now because it is advertised on Discchord. Otherwise I would probably have never known about this great new app.

I don’t see the step sequencer in my AU instances...delusion?

I haven't purchased YET but looking at the spec:

DRUM Instrument Features:
* Audio Unit Instrument which is AUv3 Compatible
* Recreates the sounds of classic drum machines
* Over 50 drum sounds
* 7 Built in Presets
* Low CPU overhead so you can run multiple instances
* Parameters available for each sound:

- Distortion: Depth, Drive

DRUM App Features
* 16 Step Sequencer
* Ableton Link tempo sync
* Load and Save State

Seems like the step sequencer might not be part of the AU. The above wording seems to separate the au instrument from the "drum app features".

That's correct. I improved the wording in my own blurb to make it clear!
Seems to crash every time I press the link button in standalone

Is it a drumsynthesizer or a rompler?
September 07, 2018  | person_outline Greg
I'm not sure Greg. There are shaping tools you'd expect on a Roland drum machine, with several additions like Drive. If the underlying tech is synthesis it wouldn't matter because there is no way to change things like waveshape.
Couldn't find any videos for this, so picked it up and made a quick demo in Beatmaker3:

3x instances of DRUM, 2x reverbs and a little splash of Sunrizer

Reduced to .99 when I bought it just now. Fun little app. But crashed very quickly in standalone, when I pressed link.

Thank you very much for that, Tom! I've added it to the post!
Bought it too because i saw it on this site.
Like Bianca already wrote, it crashes for me too when i press the Ableton link button in the standalone version. Hope the developer reads this and will look into this.

Unfortunately the AUV3-plugin quits working in iOS 14.5
