Cycle by Daniel Kuntz

Daniel Kuntz released Cycle last month as a free experimental music creation app. The app produces a soundscape by repeating notes continuously, while they gradually fade into the background. Cycle now plays along with others thanks to yesterday's update that added Audiobus and Inter-App Audio.

Update: The app is no longer free. It is now $4 as of Saturday.

Cycle iTunes Description:

Cycle is a time lag accumulator - a musical system that repeats the notes you play over and over until they gradually fade into silence. It's a simple but very powerful idea, allowing you easily create fascinating and often unexpected sonic textures.

Cycle can be a delightful meditative experience, since the system naturally lends itself well to long and slowly evolving musical ideas.

Cycle can also be a great starting point for creating ambient music. Cycle features easy recording and exporting to both wav and midi files. Easily Airdrop or email recordings to your computer, and use them right away in your favorite DAW.

This is not free
It was. They just raised the price today, and it took it a while for that to register on the iTunes API used by the site to poll price data.
It's free again!
