Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the States, which is a unique holiday for our Puritan roots with all the feasting and gluttony.
I've had a weird relationship with the holiday since 2001. While chasing tech work after the .com crash, I landed a big consulting job in Mohawk Nation Territory. I desperately needed that and was happy to make my way out there, but the idea of celebrating Thanksgiving with Native Americans seemed macabre. I was mediating on that when a friend shared an album from some insane Swedish Industrial band called, "In Slaughter Natives." It seemed like an odd synchronicity so I jumped at it. My favorite track on that one is To Mega Therion, which is Greek for: The Great Beast.
So now this song really gets me in the festive spirit! I'm going to start pre-gorging today!

Over the years, I've gotten many of the above on sale (THANKS TIM!) There are a couple I wish I hadn't bought. And a few I'll probably get soon-- Arturia synths and Lorentz.
CORRECTION? The Arturia Synths are all showing up at $5 USD (not $10). So that's an even more impressive dealio.
Micswap Pro is not on sale anymore.. but Midi Designer Pro is now at 8,99 !
Thanks stub and Suggathang!
A station I listen to has been playing them a lot lately.
Anyone have comments on Midi Designer Pro vs Lemur?
Another important question is MIDI Designer vs TB MIDI Stuff. Both excellent apps, both with kind and responsive developers. I have both, but have not had time to do a proper comparison of features.
Another important app in that category is MIDIflow which may provide some other features.
I'm from the states. Thanksgiving and our holidays in general are kinda fucked up, I usually just do my own thing anyways. Then again life is pretty absurd and everywhere I go I can't believe the outrageous way people act. Im also an Italian citizen and shit is crazy there too. Hope you're doing well Tim! I check in with this site every few days. So useful for any ios musician to know what's going on in the ios music area
Fugue Machine on sale !
Happy Thanksgiving Tim.
@arrghonaut: Which station? It sounds like it must be awesome. I think I've heard some In Slaughter Natives on soma.fm's Doom channel, but I can't remember if they play this one.
@Harison: Hey Harison, I haven't seen your name pop up here in a while. Glad to see you're still checking out the site!
@Toz: Thanks! You too! I'm looking forward to this evening!
@arrrghonaut re midi designer pro vs lemur, a few quick thoughts:
MDP supports editing layouts on your iOS device and provides basic controls (knobs, faders, buttons, etc.). Looks like you get fairly traditional control surfaces with MDP but you don't need to do any scripting. Probably a good choice if you're looking for something simple.
Lemur supports editing layouts on iOS but also has a desktop editor. Controls can be scripted (though no scripting is needed for basic interactions) and some pretty adventurous interfaces have been created using the canvas object.
Take a look at the community pages to get a sense for what the interfaces are like between the two apps.
