MusicIO Update

The Power Trio of developers from MIDI Designer, Audeonic, and Secret Base Design have updated their Audio and MIDI streaming app MusicIO with welcomed goodies for both Mac and PC! They also have a ton of other stuff in development which they teased me with, but insist I can't talk about yet. So now I'm teasing you: They have 3 really cool things in the works! They've started to come together as a true supergroup and are beginning to think way outside of the box.

What's new in MusicIO v1.40:

A huge "thank you!" to all of our users for your encouragement, feedback and for enjoying musicIO!

New Features:

  • Support for multiple devices on the Mac; now connect as many iPhones and iPads as you like, to stream both audio and MIDI to any destination you wish (audio is limited to 4 iOS devices)
  • Support for chains of up to four IAA effects apps on each track (up to 16 effects total)
  • Support for PCs is now out of beta; connect musicIO to your PC desktop DAW, using the free VST available on the musicIO web site
  • Bug fixes, stability improvements and performance enhancements

Bloody wicked as I've had a nightmare trying to use Lemur or Midi designer over wifi,I've managed to get some Ableton controllers to work but this is great and all I need is a longer usb to lightning lead.Ive not managed to workout what you can do going from PC to iPad,if that is just midi I'm not interested but if I can record what I'm doing on PC with iPad I would be but putting Animoog through Subvert and Cryogen is amazing .

Tim and Patrick -- what are you guys up to? Teasing innocent iOS music app users like that...shame on you and -- Oh Man, I can't hardly wait to see what's cooking.

@Andre -- yes, MIDI is two way, audio is one way...from iPad. So Animoog would work going to the PC to send sound to Subvert or Cryogen I think...but I'm not familiar with those plugins so I may be missing something. Either way, good luck.
