Imogen Heap – Me The Machine

Imogen Heap has released a video for her song, Me The Machine, designed with her Mi.Mu MIDI gloves in mind. She notes that the Kickstarter project for the gloves is doomed to failure, with 8 days to go and £120,000 left to raise; as I predicted. It's a shame, but they need to bring that cost down from £1,200($1,979). Oh well, the music video is awesome!

Yeah she is truly brilliant; always exploring new ground. Her first hit, and still my favorite, is Hide and Seek. I think that is still the only example of contemporary Vocoder usage that doesn't set my teeth on edge.

Whoa! Beautiful track! Now, if only all the kids were tuning into this, instead of well, rhymes with Riley, Dweebs, and Matey, we (Musos) might all have a brighter future...Stunning, brilliant songwriting. Yeah, real melodies, hooks, an amazing bridge, phenomenal vocal harmonies, you know, that kind of shit...More, please...

Hide and Seek is excellent. Gave me goosebumps on the first listen through. Thanks for the link

Wow. That was great. I love her adventurous spirit and the song itself was a perfect use of that technology. I'd sure love a pair of the gloves, but the price would have to come down a lot.
