Histojam - RVA Hackathon Project

Sample Lab developer Aaron Pride was at RVA Hackathon, in Richmond Virginia over the weekend. Here he shows off his own hack, Histojam. The app evaluates the iPhone camera's histogram and generates MIDI notes based on the Red/Green/Blue values of whatever you're tapping on. This earned Aaron the Crowd Fave and Best Concept awards for the convention!

Video Description:

("Histojam" for iOS 7; my project for 2014 RVA Hackathon)

Got to run around Lewis Ginter botanical garden making music... tap a portion of the camera input that is evaluated for RGB components to generate notes that are sent to some homemade audio unit instruments. You will notice image in the upper-left corner represents the last image sampled from a tap.
