Flow Guitar

Flow Guitar is a new guitar tablature and learning app, with Lefty support, for iPad. There is a free Lite version. I have no idea what is different between the two, because their descriptions are identical and the official site is a totally blank Facebook page.

Flow Guitar iTunes Description:

Flow Guitar is aimed at all levels of guitar and will teach you to improvise over chord changes, following the chords for a much more melodic solo. Just play the onscreen scales, aiming for the chord tones that are displayed and absorb some music theory along the way.

Go beyond the pentatonic by quickly and easily learning all the diatonic Scales. Perfect for visual learners!

An interactive fretboard shows you scales, modes and chords all over the neck. Find an almost infinite number of chord shapes and voicings in any position! Jam along to one of the 9 included backing tracks, with many more free tracks coming in future updates. As the chords in the progression change, the notes update on the fretboard update to show you the best sounding notes to aim for!

Learn the notes all over the fretboard, how scale shapes and chords fit together and how to write your own progressions.

Jam along to your own backing tracks using the Progression Editor! This feature will be updated regularly with better sounds and patterns.

Fully supports left handers for easy learning!

@Tim Web - the lite version has only 1 song included as compared to the full version which has 9 songs. I got the lite version this morning to find out its usefulness. I'm yet to give it a proper spin but it looks like a very good concept.

Ah, thanks Medo!

Hi Tim, I'm the developer of Flow Guitar. This is the first app I've made and launched so I've messed up a few of the details.

Yes the Facebook page is not great, I'll make a website for the app soon but for now I've added a twitter account with some basic contact info - hopefully this is better in the short run.
I will also change the description of the Lite version to reflect the difference between the versions.

Lite only has 2 songs and full currently has 9. I will be adding lots more backing tracks to the full version soon as a free update.
Full also has a progression editor so you can create your own chord progressions to jam with. This is currently very basic but will be updated in the not too distant future to a much more substantial sequencer (free update).

If anybody has any questions feel free to get in touch at flowguitarapp@gmail.com and I'll answer as quickly as I can.

Why is there still a problem with a background flowchart obscuring the text. It seems it leftover from a Jack review some weeks ago. In this review it makes the text quite unreadable, this should be an easy fix. It makes disc chord quite unusable as is
