Noise Toy Sound developer Andy Dolphin sent me a limerick and details on his recently released soundtoys. He fully admits these are more toys than serious music production tools, but judging by the videos he has on his site they are very fun toys with music production implications.

Among the 4 new iPad apps, Boinkss is free today. The rest are $1 each. Check the website for more details on the rest, all of which have their own demo videos. The demos for Boinkss and Spiralset both caught my ear.
Boinkss iTunes Description:
Boinkss is a soundtoy that uses simulated physics to create shifting sonic patterns and freeform sequences. The player draws colourful lines and shapes, then drops bouncing balls into their creation. The collisions of the balls results in dynamic and varied sounds. The different colours in the palette relate to different sound types, which can be combined in many different ways.
Draw, bounce, sound = Boinkss
Note:
• This application is compatible with iPad 2 or later.
• Headphones recommended.
