discchord - Know Shame

Having addressed binary morality, Know that Shame is also a primitive concept with no place in modern cultures. This song, the third on my upcoming album, is a lighthearted look at the time in every boy's life when he realizes that he is certainly going to Hell.

Very cool! Just love the way you used that old "father knows best" type video. Witty and very effective.

Without wishing to be a negative git, I kind of preferred the last effort with Charlton (which I really enjoyed). This had some clever bits, but just didn't quite click for me. The samples didn't quite gel with the tune, but the end break down bit was nice.

that said it was good to see the gym ball make a reappearance in the background. And where the hell do I get me a Minitaur?

A little bit outside of my normal listening wheelhouse, but that was pretty fucking brilliant and well done. Kudos. Did you manage to get that bass bot cranked up to 11? I thought the imagery went well with the track.

MANual ftw? yep. nice work @tim.

I see your point, ISM. I've been thinking about it, and I think Charlton worked so well with the last tune because he is trying to orate. This is more disconnected, with a lot of different voices trying to act casual. I'm going to keep this in mind!

Joe: Yup, I had the Bassbot at 11, and was crushing it in the Vanishing Point which was also set to 11!

I loved that MANual too, I had to make sure it was in there!

Yeah baby! So much music out there now has no nothing to add. This makes a statement, and it shows the anti-homo propaganda that came before many can remember. When young ppl dont get why older ppl are brainwashed about it, this explains it.

Know Shame, meet NO shame (or shameless). no man parts visible, but clearly self-evident. +1 to afp!

I loved Amanda's work in Dresden Dolls, Coin Operated Boy was so many layers of brilliance. Then she lost all of my respect when she became the highest grossing Kickstarter, and quickly followed that up by being the first celebrity to abuse Kickstarter and then fuck over other musicians. That very artistic tirade however does gain some of that back. Thanks for sharing A1!

@tim sorry don't see the problem here, Amanda Palmer hasn't done any wrong as far as I can see! She has perhaps been a little extravagant and perhaps a little self obsessed, but as for fucking anyone over? Sorry, she hasn't - she has fulfilled all her obligations in her own way which is all the fans ever paid for. That it was ludicrously priced is a matter of opinion and actually got nothing to do with anyone given that use has done exactly what she said she would. Re. Asking musicians to play for free, this is only very slightly soured because of the weird and inappropriate response to the first part of this. If she had asked this without having just got a load of money from KS there would not have been a single raised eyebrow! While I generally respect your openness and vitriol I think you've missed the mark here a lot!

@A1 - cheers! Although I am struggling to see why this is nfsw - compulsory viewing/ reading for all would be better :-D
