Echo Pad Updated with New Smooth Filter Effect

Echo Pad development has been keeping a brisk pace this year, with a new free effect added just about every month!

What's new in Echo Pad v1.4.4:

  • new effect: Smooth Filter (input filter)
  • new random preset generator buttons create a random preset when pressed. The button labeled "???" generates "safer" presets with no distortion/decimation/etc. The button labeled "!@#?" allows distortion/decimation and is more unpredictable. Tap on either button until you hear something you like!
  • added options to select inputs when using 2 channel USB audio interfaces: Input 1+2 (stereo, default), Input 1 or Input 2
  • fixed a bug with loops that were exported from the main looper

Buy Echo Pad on iTunes: $3.99

Here is the demo from last month, showing off the stereo input mode added in the previous version.

I've been liking echo pad more and more, at first it was a complete mess and I felt foolish for the money spent - everything I did was the audio version of the "hall of mirrors effect" (this is a Doom reference for you kiddies).

along came audiobus effect slot update and everything changed, echo pad is now an awsome FILTER

then the revamp of the UI made things er... prettier

and now we keep getting *NEW* filters with the updates

Great stuff. I can see Echo Pad evolving slowly but surely to beat Tornado!?

Here's to hoping the keep up the good work!!!

Echo Pad dev here, thanks for the kind words hoyas79 :-)

There's another maintenance update coming within a week to fix a bug, right now when resetting the current session, if a motion loop is currently playing it will not stop properly. This will be fixed in the next update.

I'm planning to release 1-2 more updates after that before I focus on making sure Echo Pad is ready and stable for iOS 7 and inter-app audio support when iOS 7 launches in the fall.
