Art of Sound: Epic DJ Set

Drakenberg was live at Art of Sound, in Stockholm last week, and just posted a video of his booth. Although I doubt many of you will sit through the 2 hour duration, the first minute gives you an idea of what this guy is up to! iPad's are scattered all over, an iPhone is strapped to his wrist and he's got an old analog phone for his cue monitoring.

This guy is like a cyclone of technology, anything in his path is consumed and made a part of his set.

Someone bought me one of those iPhone wrist straps recently, and I really didn't think I would use it any time soon. Wrong! Why didn't I think of that? Clever. He has a wii-mote controling one of his iPads too. Nice. Needs to be careful when opening beers though :-).

I cannot seem to see the connection between the music and what he's doing, which makes the session quite boring.

At a couple of points, he is hitting his white iPad, and some snare sounds are heard, but they're really, really rhythmically untight and extremely uninteresting.

I think he should stick to an iPod ...
