Yeah, the update was hung up in the approval process so we're leaving it on sale. Resubmitted last weekend and (fingers crossed) it should be out soon!

Cheers!

Sale + new video pushed me over the edge. I need to stop visiting this site.

Probably get shot for saying this but this app is the most inspirational music making iOS tool I have come across. I was on it for about 2 hours the other nite just using it on the fly and sampling in with my iPod touch using various synths,ikaosssilator,thumb jamb sunrizer even my daughters voice for some vocals and the mix was just flowing and flowing it just has endless possibilities as Karl has shown in this cool video. This to me is what iOS music is about using a relatively simple cheap tool to get some mighty impressive sounds and mixes purely from simple objects and instruments.i used a 30 year old Casio pt 50 the other day just to sample some retro Casio sounds -pure joy

@Congas

I begrudgingly agree: This might be the very best app on the AppStore at balancing fun/immediacy and "serious" work. Sometimes, I almost hate using it because I feel like I'm cheating somehow.

Bought it this morning while still in bed and made a wicked beat using the bed! Lol.

Tried it briefly during the day and some improvements to the file manager (like being able to save both sides under one name, and delete files?) would be nice. Individual pan option would be cool to. Anyway really fun and useful app.

@chrisG, saving of the whole workspace is coming in the next update (already submitted, I believe).

"They’ve also increased the sample times and updated the loop browser with the ability to store sets of all 8 banks along with tempo, delay, swing, mixer settings all at once as well as delete loops." http://www.idesignsound.com/coming-soon-awesome-update-coming-to-werkbench-video/

I appreciate how immediate the app is for doing something live but this update will help me actually finish stuff with it! Or at least kid myself into thinking I will.

I still can't figure out how to get the 'midi sync' button to do anything.
