Drum Loops HD

Hans Eijkenaar (a drummer famous enough to have a lengthy entry on the Dutch Wikipedia) let me know about his new app, Drum Loops HD. It is essentially just a drum loop library, but it is a really well designed library for iOS (Universal). It is even taking advantage of Audio Pasteboard to get the loops into other apps and DAWs. It seems fairly fast to navigate, find, and audition a loop in the style/BPM you want. Then one button sends the whole loop to the pasteboard.

All of the loops are performed by Hans himself, and recorded with two different mic setups. You get a modern and a "vintage" mic arrangement to choose from for every loop. This seems like a great place to start if you hate programming drum patterns, or even just to get the ball rolling with a specific groove style! Here's the intro video with Hans.

Buy Drum Loops HD on iTunes: $9.99

Seems to be a good cool app.. Too bad it's way overpriced..Eurotrash is worth. Perhaps. 99cents at best....I'll wait till its sale comes...

@Chezzdog really? a large library of professional drum loops is only worth 99 cents *at best*? I don't think you understand value.

I know apps tend to be low price. So it will take a while for pro apps to ' take off' and to be taken seriously..... but what I have been trying to do is create a full drum loop library with fills and more. Played for real, mixed to 2 sounds (both stereo 16 bit, 44.1khz and thus cd quality) to enable the user to play along with a real drummer and to enable the producer/songwriter to program a real acoustic breathing lively drum track with feel..

A similar approach on DVD would be between 50 and 250 dollars so I think 9,99 US is not! too much to ask but hey, I'm just a drummer.....

Greetings and thnx to the site for the post!!

I'm jealous of that mic list! Very very cool idea to offer both mic setups. Two different sounds out of one session.

People have lost their friggin minds. $9.99 for 350 drum loops (x2 mic setups) is a steal. Does it have individual hits so you can make new fills as needed?

Someone please loan me $8.99?

@Chezzdog: I'll lend you the money; if you leave all your bank details, I'll be sure to help you out.
Ps. In order for people to understand your not being serious, you need to use acronyms like LOL or the even more pointless LMFAO!
If you want to go the whole hog, you could use emoticons, or these stupid things: :-) ;-) 0_o etc. just like mental midgets use.
See? Am I being serious, or am I highlighting people's inability to have a sense of humor? Ooh, deep! LOL.

Anyway, I think this is good value whether it's 99c or 99000c, as long as I can still afford to eat snack food in my underwear, I'm happy.
