SOPA Would Make Me A Felon

Rather than going dark today in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), I'd like to call attention to exactly how SOPA would impact me. Three of the lessons in the Everyone Can Play Music series play with the bass line pattern of New Order's Confusion (Pump Panel Remix), and SOPA would make these retroactively felonies. I don't like to get political, but you can bet I got off my ass to talk to my congressman on this one.

Here are the 3 ECPM lessons in question, which are all totally legal under today's Fair Use laws. Enjoy them while they last... If I have to pull these it will gut the basics from the series.

After the first day of the hearing, more than 20 amendments had been rejected, including one by Issa which would have stripped provisions targeting search engines and Internet providers. PC World reported that the 22–12 vote on the amendment could foreshadow strong support for the bill by the committee
