EQ560 AUv3 plug-in — comes as time-limited Demo-version for you to try. It gives you 5 minutes of Free play time. (You can reload the EQ560 AUv3 plug-in as many times as you want, thereby you get the Demo period again and again.) Unlimited version of EQ560 AUv3 plug-in comes as In-App Purchase.

The EQ560 based on Classic American EQ from the late '60s, the 10-band graphic equalizer features precision filtering and high headroom, ideal for signal enhancement.

• Standalone and AUv3 plug-in;
• Precise port of Rack Extensions plug-in;
• Modeled vintage EQ;
• 10 bands of proprietary equalization;
• Familiar graphics operation on one octave centers;
• 12 dB of boost/cut per band;
• «Proportional Q» narrows filter Q at extremes;
• IN/OUT switch allows the user to bypass the Graphic EQ for before/after comparisons;
• Stereo (Mono), Mid or Side EQ modes.

The curve shaping potential is unmatched, while unique Proportional Q design intuitively widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrows it at higher settings.

The EQ560 extends the features of the original hardware and joins the flexibility of the digital world to the character of the analog processing. Allows you to choose between equalizer modes (Stereo, Mid, Side) and remove analogue saturation from the processing circuit to deliver pure digital sound.

The EQ560 is handy when you need to make EQ adjustments on larger parts of the spectrum instead of a restricted area. Boosting or cutting several bands at once will radically alter the sound of a track, be it a thin, weak snare that needs low end or a dull vocal that needs to be opened up.

To use EQ560 as a plug-in, you need an AUv3-compatible host app like GarageBand, Auria, AUM, Cubasis and more — EQ560 will appear in the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins in the host app.

The EQ560 is a great complement to the parametric EQ550 and EQ550b.

App Store Description:

IMPULSation is an impulse response/convolution reverb that allows you to load in your own impulses for an an unlimited amount of neverb and amp possibilities. To give you an idea of the power of this app: There are literally hundreds of thousands of impulses freely available online and our app will load them all, given that it’s properly formatted in either .wav or .aif format. Say for example you have an electric piano sound that you want to run through a classic Fender™ AMP. You do a web search for “Fender AMP Impulses” and pick from the thousands of possibilities. You will literally spend hours upon hours freely downloading all of the available spaces, amps, reverbs, and/or delays to use within your favorite AUv3 DAW.

The technology of convolving and deconvolving is a method of putting in a signal through an amp, reverb unit, delay unit, or space and with sophisticated mathematical interpolations techniques, you can create a very close replica of the actual source. Our IMPULSation is specifically designed for AMPs, reverbs, delays, and spaces of which our code is optimized to detect which is being used. The detection allows us to optimize the signal for better CPU and for optimal sound.

As with all of our other apps, our goal is always simplicity with power. We give you all the important features needed for a great sound, without being too complex. The features are as follows:

▪ BlueTooth MiDI Capable
▪ iCloud Backup and Sharing of Presets
▪ Enhanced AUv3 Preset Resizing
▪ Expansion Pack Banners and Branding
▪ Metal support, Faster UI, Faster loading, and major CPU Updates
▪ Two Mode MIDI Program Change

General Features:

JAX Unisonic (Audio Unit)

playlist_add Wishlist

App Store Description:

JAX Unisonic is a special Audio Unit, able to produce up to 8 additional voices from any audio input (also polyphonic audio) by multiplying and shifting it in pitch and other parameters. Audio Units require a host application for operation.

The concept of JAX Unisonic is loosely derived from ‘Unison’ which was adopted from the ancient analog synthesizer world, where manufacturers and sound designers intended to fatten the sound by multiplying and stacking available voices together. Also digital synthesizers did adopt this technique to fatten sound sources.
Due to the instability of analog oscillators and components and some wilful detuning, an interesting sonic effect is achieved, giving the produced tones significantly more presence and life. Unison voices are still excessively used in modern music styles today. (In classical music compositions ‘unisono’ basically means a performance, where multiple instruments or voices play the same parts in an ensemble fashion.)

Now JAX Unisonic can simulate this sonic effect with any audio source by incorporating a bank of independent time domain pitch shifters, that are optimized to detune and spread artificially multiplied voices in panorama. It can be understood as a kind of super chorus generator or an ensemble like effect with variable, realtime controlled intensity and pitch relation. But it is clearly something more.

With JAX Unisonic you can create up to 8 additional voices, that will be passed thru a chain of pitching and positioning, creating massively fattened sounds with any kind of voice input. Additionally you may transpose each voice individually per semitone to max. +/- 1 octave, something that cannot be achieved with usual choruses, unison or ensemble effects and moves the results slightly in the direction of the category “harmonizer” effects. Although the harmonic results can be programmed (automated) freely and are not auto generated in any way, as on some available other harmonizers.

The used pitch shifters in our JAX Unisonic are NOT based on the phase vocoder paradigm (FFT) and do not introduce the static latencies, which are unavoidable by the latter. A time domain pitch shifter in contradiction, uses very small delay buffers, where the latency is dynamically adjusted (dependent on the used pitch shifting amount) and much smaller and nearly latency-free. Such pitch shifters are better situated for live usage therefore. Although, such pitch shifters sound slightly more raw and tend to produce disharmonic overtones with more extreme values.

JAX Unisonic may be used as a massive unison effect generator or more decently for creating various, more subtile effects for improving sonic qualities of parts in a composition. For instance controlled voice detuning, manual pitch correction, doubling of vocals or solo instruments or just to give some boring voices more interest and static sound some special movement. It is even usable with drums, adding subtile or even massive new frequency components.

Stereo Width Control

App Store Description:

Stereo Width Control is an Audio Unit plugin that allows you to increase or decrease the stereo width of 4 adjustable frequency bands. Mastering engineers use it to ensure that the bass frequencies of the kick drum and bass instruments stay tightly focused in the centre channel while a keeping spacious stereo image in the mid range frequencies.

Stereo Width Control operates with your choice of 1 to 4 separate bands. Each band has a solo control, used to audition that band on its own while you adjust its frequency range and stereo width setting.

In the lower right is a stereo vectorscope graph that is helpful for visualising the volume and stereo width of your tracks.

NOTE: This app is an Audio Unit plugin that runs inside of host apps such as GarageBand. It does not process audio in standalone mode.

JAX Convolutor PRO (AU)

App Store Description:

Remarks: This is an Audio Unit, but you have to open the distribution app ones at least to install the included IR file library.

Convolution is a highly complex signal processing approach, that needs some certain computation power. The recorded impulse response of a real world environment is used to render a reverberation effect onto any audio material, so that it sounds like the source was played in that original room or at that location. Some further adjustments and manipulations can be applied to refine these results.

Now this all may sound somewhat naive at first listen but the entire calculation is extremely complex math, so that the very first processors and computers were able to perform this in realtime rather around the end of the last millennium.

Basically, the impulse responses and the audio stream are completely analyzed with FFT algorithms and then the entire analysis data will be cross-modulated into the realtime audio stream by performing a repeated highly performance intensive re-synthesis and accumulation processing for each analysis block of the impulse response.

Therefore it is a crucial performance factor that you use JAX Convolutor with larger processing buffer sizes (1024) samples. Shorter buffers may raise the CPU hit exorbitantly for several reasons.

The manual is embedded into the main app.
