Korg Gadget 2: Rex Looped and Unquantized

YouTuber Jay Dogon did a lovely soulful jam on his Poly D with Gadget.

Video Description:

A groove using Gadget and a wirey lead on the Poly D. I'm surprised at how fun the MPK mini was while making this. If only it was battery powered so I could use it on the go with ipad without any need for power...

Stuff used:
iPad Pro 12.9 inch
Behringer Poly D
Korg Gadget 2

Concentric Rhythm Update

Jeff Holtzkener released Concentric Rhythm in April 2017. This weekend he released the first update to the app, which honestly could have arrived in May 2017. We'll assume it got lost for a bit, and treat this like the app equivalent of found footage.

What's new in Concentric Rhythm v3.0:

What's new?
•Audiobus 3 MIDI
•Export MIDI files
•Autosaving (restart each new session where you left off)
•Ring/track re-ordering
•Clipboard for copying and pasting tracks
•Many bug fixes, big and small

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions, support, and patience!

haQ attaQ: Pipa Vocal Synthesizer | A 2020 Top Synth

Jakob Haq has already declared the recently released Klevgränd Pipa as a top synth of 2020.

Video Description:

Pipa by Klevgränd Produkter is an Expressive Vocal Synthesizer app for iOS and it sounds absolutely amazing. Somehow I managed to miss this one completely while working on my 2020 top synthesiser app list, because its so good that it deserves a spot on that list. Wanna know why? Watch the video!

Music Theory with Tonality iOS

Reader sardisloth did a detailed tutorial on chord extensions inside of Tonality.

Video Description:

This video is a simpler explanation of chord extensions (7th, 9th, 11th, 13ths) aka “color notes”. My hope is to inspire and demystify seemingly complex and large chords. If anyone has any questions, or would like me to expound on an idea further, feel free to comment!

Marcus Manderson - Drill Down

Marcus Manderson did an amazing Drill Beat with flute samples. I greatly enjoyed this!

Video Description:

I’ve been following Guy Michelmore and Thinkspace Education for a few years (I think…😂) now. Guy provides a lot of great insight into composing and scoring music.

For this challenge (How To Write Music Challenge, AKA Flute Challenge, AKA Lockdown Challenge LOL), Guy provided some dope kalimba and whistle samples for producers and composers to use in their music.

I’m also trying to build up the drill beat collection in my catalog. LOL.

Here’s my entry, called “Drill Down.” Chopped up the provide samples. Added a bass. Added drums. Done! LOL.

Created on the iPad!
