GlitchBreaks review on iOS Music and You

I'm working on my own review, but I've been busy with some other projects and Chip Boaz beat me to it! His review is great, offering a feature overview and some criticism that I agree with. I'll warn you that while I try to keep my reviews under 800 words, he likes to get really deep with over 2,000!

Here's a snippet:
Recording musicians could find the app useful for creating glitched out drum beats for their compositions or sonically altered audio loops that they could place into a DAW. Beginners with an interest in glitch music will enjoy the instant gratification of the “Glitch” and “Cut” pads, quickly churning out some sounds that reflect the music that they love.

You can read the whole thing over here on iOS Music and You.

The TC-11 Multi-Touch Synthesizer (link to video review) is continuing to see some impressive developments!

As you can tell by the screenshot, there are now 4 new color schemes for those of you getting tired of blue. In the patch section you'll find there are a couple of new effects and 25 new controls.

As well as some miscellaneous improvements and fixes. I'm impressed with how fast this update comes, after we just had a big one last month!

MIDIWriter developer, Masayuki Akamatsu, has put out a very polished video showing it off! I mentioned this new app last week, and I'm excited to see it in action. For $1 this app will turn your Bluetooth keyboard into a wireless CoreMIDI/VirtualMIDI keyboard.

Learn Intervals with Lattice

In support of Apptic's Lattice, a "bi-dimensional piano" app, the developer is doing a music theory video series. Learning any theory is boring and laborious, but Intervals are something every musician really needs to know. When you understand how notes relate to one another, you can easily build new melodies. Scales and chords are all well and good, but in the land of monophonic synths Intervals are King.

Like the other videos in this series, the Intervals lesson is very short and to the point. Finding the right balance between brevity and details is tricky with video tutorials. I'm not sure if he nailed it here, but at a minute and a half it certainly won't waste your time.

This series has just started, so we'll see how it builds from here. I'll be keeping an eye on it. You can find the other 3 lessons on the Play Lattice YouTube channel.
