Longtime community member, and iOS for guitarists evangelist, Derek Buddemeyer was recently let go by JamUp developer Positive Grid, so he's jumping over to IK Multimedia with this original song composed entirely on their Amplitube app.
Decided to take Amplitube for iPad on a little test drive today. WOW!! This thing really kicks it up a notch! All tracks were recorded in Amplitube for iPad with their DAW feature. Video was edited with Pinnacle for iPad.

In addition to the base price, you need to purchase additional slots if you want to fit in more modules, though the modules themselves are not extra. Palm Sounds did an interview with developer Yuli, which is really good he should do more of these, but doesn't fully explain the capabilities of this app.
thesoundtestroom released a demo video earlier today, but it was immediately removed by YouTube for copyright infringement. Fortunately Doug rallied and made another, this time avoiding the remix elements of the app!
Reader Mark Humphrey put together an excellent iPad cover song and video for Jeff Beck's Beck's Bolero, using an array of apps!
Listen up, a Guitar Player is speaking...
I present a cover of the Jeff Beck classic, Beck's Bolero. This is a cross between the original recording and the more recent version from Performing at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
This version features parts played on a pair of iPads. I then used Reason to edit comps, put it all together and mix it. I originally tried to do all recording and production on the iPads using Cubasis, but couldn't automate tempo and time signature changes.
The list of apps used: Audiobus, AudioShare, Cubasis, DrumStudio, Geo Synth, iMini, LiveGuitar, Multitrack DAW, Reason, Thumbjam.
Beatbox Looper is a multi-track sampler especially designed for human beatboxers.
Record your rhythms, melodies and special effects as loops that stack as separate loops.
Each track has its own volume as well as an effect, in addition to a master effect and volume.
Don't forget to use headphones to avoid recording the sound of the playing loops.
This application has been produced at the occasion of the show "Beatbox Story" by the music and theatre company "Les Daltoniens" with the support of the numerical arts service of the Féderation-Wallonie-Bruxelles. Les Daltoniens: http://www.daltoniens.eu
