Let's Play with LayR

What Tim's review makes abundantly clear, is that it is really difficult for a non synth-head to produce anything that doesn't sound like bees in an airing cupboard crossed with a doorbell factory. Those who have the required expertise will doubtless get a lot from this app, and I get its USP, but having said that I can have so much more fun, and get faster results, from the likes of Mitosynth and AniMoog.
Interesting. Good to see AU incorporated. Will definitely keep an eye on AB3. Just not sure, yet anyway, that I would personally use what AB3 offers as opposed to what I can already do with AUM. To answer the question from the contributor who asked what folk use AB for these days, for me it is purely those apps I use that feature state-saving under AB.

Looks like a whole bunch of fun. Would happily pay for IAA and other connectivity. So come on developers, get busy!

Fugue Machine is one of the best, most innovative apps around. Also, good news, I heard from the developer recently that something is in the works.

Really good developer, innovating and listening to customers. This is a real gem of an app.

However, don't rush man. It could well be that you don't actually jell with an app, and this could be the one you don't agree with, in which case you'd wasted your $20. Wait and see/listen what people will do with it now when it is out in the wild, and decide after that. :)

Ayepad, I appreciate your considered and fair appraisal, and your honesty. So refreshing compared to the fan boy stuff we see so often. FWIW after reading your reply, I am more inclined to keep an eye on this app.
Great to see you back in action, Doug, with your customary enthusiasm.

Yeah, very nice demo. Even a sceptic like me is coming around. If the app cost the same as Poison 202, I'd dive in for the hell of it.
Lovely stuff, Mitch. Sounds like a Galiffreyan technician fine tuning a Tardis.

What a great little app this is turning out to be. A responsive developer, doing something different and doing it well. Bravo!
