More Korg than Korg is our motto.
There must be people at Apple who know about this stuff, but you won't find them at the stores. I had somebody tell me I wasn't "allowed" to use the USB adapter for music - only pictures. Went to a seminar once held by someone who was much higher-up than the store people and who was going to talk about music apps. It turned out to be NoteStar - that Yamaha app you can use to download expensive sheet music from Yamaha. Tried to show him what I thought would be some well-known synth apps afterwards, like iMS-20 and Animoog, and he looked at me like I had tapeworms.
Is it specific to the A10 chip? There's been a bunch of glitchy stuff with games not running at the correct speed and other nonsense, but only with iOS 11 on models with A10 chips.

Just another appreciation. Apps like this are what the iPad is really all about.
"mPIANO is a MIDI controller that hides all control functions for polyphonic expression inside the keyboard of a grand piano."

Finally, something that makes the $4K Yamaha Montage sound like a bargain! And you get some onboard sounds...

I just switched from an older Windows machine to a not-quite-as-old MacBook Pro I bought and fixed up. Why? I like that Apple puts real quality work into their audio API, something I have yet to see happen with Windows or Android, and the fact that I can now run some software I couldn't get for Windows. And, I'm running Windows 10 under Parallels, so I can still run a couple Windows programs that aren't available for Mac. Can't go the other way.

I still have a Windows box hooked up to my digital piano to run Pianoteq, because that's all it needs to do. But that goes through an external USB interface, which takes care of Windows' never-get-it-right audio latency problems.
They seem to have only updated the Pro version. People who purchased the Pro upgrade through the basic app seem to be SOL. Their webpage is dead and their FB page hasn't been updated since 2013.

I wonder if I can get all the goodies by plugging it into my CP4.

The AU effects are there under the "Effects" button next to "Instruments." I can see stuff I have installed like Tonestack, Filtatron, SunVox and others. Haven't really played around with it much, though.

Under instruments, I get many, many copies of the same app, like 11 different identical icons for ThumbJam. I must be not understanding something.
