Electronisounds: Record Quality Audio on iPad For 20 Bucks?

Electronisounds tests out the $20 Behringer Line 2 USB, a mini interface for sending a 1/4" stereo pair directly through USB. This is a great find, and probably the cheapest way to record external gear into your iOS device!

Cool. I ordered one right away ($35 CDN with tax. Even though I have an iConnect Audio 4+, sometimes I don't feel like hooking up my mac to get things going. This looks like a super simple option when I want to grab a sound from my hardware synths.
Nice ! l order this magic cable too ! Right away. Looks like a simple way to get your sounds from
the outside world to your iPad. 20 Bucks ! Cheap ! Hope it works !

Very cool. This might be a better option than the Behringer UCA in certain situations.

But can you still use the headphone out when using this cable? Or does it disable it?

I really like my iconnectaudio4+ . The only drawback is that the iPad app doesn't work very well and to save time with simple or complex routings, I have to use the app on my laptop. Not a deal breaker but I'd prefer not to use my computer in my set-up. I can't count the number of times I've tried to move a fader on the mac screen with my fingers instead of the track pad. :)
I picked up one of these and it works great
Stereo in and stereo output
Works great with my iPad

Audio Technica ATR2USB 3.5mm to USB Audio Adapter
Off course you need other cables depending on your needs
I use the stereo from keyboards or a mixer with a 2 -1/4" to mini stereo cable
Or headphone out with a mini stereo 3.5 to 3.5 with a 3.5 to 1/4" adaptor
