Portable Dandy Update

Portable Dandy was updated today with some minor improvements, and is still free at this time. Note the special instructions at the bottom to get the new samples.

What's new in 1.1:

Thank you for using Dandy, we are overwhelmed by the number of downloads and the huge feedback on this so, here is the first update to the "strange beast":

  • Audio: less crashes more loudness
  • UI: visualizer now tighter linked to what you really hear
  • General performance improvements

Minor changes: initial Samples are a little better balanced (Erase all samples via iTunes to get the new ones!)

Buy Portable Dandy (iPhone) on iTunes: $3.99

What a strange little app. Got some bonkers noises out of it with some playing.

i just deleted original samples which came up in itunes sharing & new ones appeared straight away, ive been tempted to see if its possible to put your own samples in place of originals using ifunbox just for a laugh,i really like apps like this that turn up now & then in appstore, but i find its always a waiting game to see whether the app turns into something really cool or does not get any updates & ends up being deleted from my ipad & forgotten

HI folks,

@ISM I really like to hear that bonkers noises – please send a link if possible :)

@Anon. If you delete the old samples via iTunes the new ones should just "magically" appear after restarting the app. If you have any problems please send me a mail (hello[at]stephanhepper.com) I'll try to help or maybe you just discovered a bug I'm not aware of yet.

@andre You can change any samples in the Dandy via iTunes file exchange. Just delete the ones you don't like and add what you wish (best is aif or wav) – be aware, that depending on your device, just the first 21 or 26 samples from iTunes (If i remember right) get into the Dandy. Never tried changing that with ifunbox – but iTunes works perfect. One thing, If you remove all samples via iTunes, Dandy will restore the original sample set on startup.

I'm also very curious to see, where this goes – next Version 1.3 is in review and comes with AudioBus Support and some minor UI-improvements hopefully before the end of next week...

Ideas and suggestions are very welcome.
