Traxus Scratch Live for Lemur

The recent Lemur 4 update added many new features to the legendary control surface app. DJ Traxus has taken advantage of one of those features to program the first platter controller for Lemur that will actually behave like a record platter. Previously you could use a knob to advance or rewind, but now you can actually hold the track position, the same way you would on a real turntable.

The Traxus Scratch Live template is available for $10 on DJ Traxus' site. Here is a demo of it with Serato.

Buy Lemur on iTunes: $49.99

Hey guys, thanks for the share. I've recently posted an article, Redefining the mobile DJ: walking away from the booth, about some of the possible implications of using Lemur wirelessly as a DJing device. I'm sure this will get a bit over shadowed by Traktor's new app. It looks mighty impressive, although I was a bit bummed out that it doesn't offer true remote capabilities, and in fact requires you to attach your iPad to an audio interface... If this continues to be their plan of action, i intend to persist on my plan of action to build a similar Lemur template for Traktor...
