DJ Mixer Pro iOS 6 Update

I seriously think iTunes must be trolling IK Multimedia. Take a look at the order these apps came out.

In the same hour, between the $20 and Free versions of DJ Rig for iPad, comes an update for one of oldest free DJ apps.

What's new:

For the first time ever, you can DJ with true headphone monitoring! Requires iOS6 and additional hardware such as an HDMI cable and interface or a USB Audio interface.

  • DJ with headphones using HDMI or a USB Audio!
  • Control your headphones monitoring mix and volumes
  • Bug fixes

Buy DJ Mixer Pro on iTunes: Free

This is made by the same guy who did Mashup, but for $35 less and it looks like it includes some of the best features.

dj mixer pro charges you $9 to mix your own music. until you do that it is useless.
Haven't tried dj rig. I have deckadance because it was/is? 3.99 and although it is a little unstable right now, for that price i like it. I've tried the free version of djay and that definitely works much better than all the other free apps i've tried and deckadance but it's not something i'm interested enough in to spend the $20 or $10 on sale. If/when deckadance gets updated i should be happy with it. actually deckadance needs quite a bit of tweaking and fixing as of right now, so i wouldn't recommend buying it. their support is horrible.

dj rig free is working well (stable, responsive), and the layout looks nice enough, controls work well (big and sensitivity is right). I am noticing that loading a deck takes a LONG time to analyze. at least you can load your own tunes, just missing most effects etc. Has pads for samples though. that is pretty cool. don't like the way the decks function. Best free dj app i've used so far.

@tim what site/app is that screenshot from?

Thanks for the details, Anonymouse. There are so many of these apps I can't keep track of them all! I've only played with meta.DJ, Mashup and CrossDJ. Of those I think MetaDJ is my favorite, but CrossDJ is a close 2nd. That is kind of meaningless though since there are probably a dozen I haven't even tried!

Will: That's AppShopper. If you ever want to make an iOS blog all you need is this link and a lot of free time to scroll through mountains of Slavic radio stations. BTW, the system keeps thinking you're a spammer, and I keep telling it you're not. Try clearing your settings here with the (forget stored information) link next to Author. Only I can see URLs and emails, so you might as well leave them blank.
