Sample importing (via iTunes), MIDI, and background audio! I've contacted the developer about export options, and will report back here if I hear anything. For a buck, this is quite a nice deal!

"Primitive Digital Software: Hello! Audio export has been the most requested feature since we launched, so it will certainly make its way into the next update. MIDI file export is possible too but may take longer. Thank you!"
good start though. this could end up being what id hoped iMaschine would be.
