iBassist Update

iBassist, from Luis Martinez, got a new "Make Drums" button that will communicate directly with the many LumBeat drum apps. When used with Live Pads, apps like Rock Drum Machine will create rhythms based on your pad sets! There's even a new demo video of this in action! The necessary update is now hitting all of his drum apps on iTunes.

What's new in iBassist v1.03:

- Live Pad Sets make drums
- New MIDI Chord out options
- 2 MIDI Chord channels
- Random Chord figures, notes, octave, length and velocity
- Randomize when Live Pad Changes
- Improved Chord Detection for Live MIDI In

I really don't like those bass sounds!! They could have done much more to make them sound less mechanical and more musical.

I like the concept, and think it COULD work, but would require better samples, and a little bit of release time.

The sounds aren't the best but the app is amazeballs!!!!! The Patterns!, Midi out!, Live Midi In!!!!!, Make Drums!! The Patterns!!!! I have been sampling and chopping the shizzle out of the output.

Absolutely Great Midi Bass App!!!!!

I guess there is something to be said for using it in that way. It's a very different workflow from a sequencer.

Still, I'd need to shut off those internal sounds.

Does it do dynamics?
