Surface Session Ep14: Pro Tools - Surface Book Testing

Robin from Molten Music Technology did an update to his Surface Mega Tests last year. While many of DAWs worked fine, Pro Tools was unusable last May. Both Windows and Pro Tools have been updated in the intervening time, so here he takes a look at the current state of Pro Tools on Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book.

Video Description:

How well does Avid Pro Tools run on the Microsoft Surface Book and Surface Pro 4? In my "Mega Test" in May 2016 it ran really poorly, but now, after many updates to the Surface, Windows and Pro Tools things seem to be much better! In this video I demonstrate audio, plug-ins and virtual instruments running in Pro Tools and give you an idea of the sort of performance you can expect. The news is good!

Specs:
Surface Book i7 6600U 2.6GHz 16GB with Nvidia
Surface Pro 4 i5 6300U 2.4GHz 8GB
Avid Pro Tools 12.7
