Arctic Keys Updated!

Arctic Keys got an interesting update today! In addition to some bug fixes, One Red Dog have "incorporated new Unison Mode technology". One of my chief criticisms was the way Unison Mode was handled in the early versions, but they addressed those months ago. I look forward to playing with this new version to see what they've changed!

They're a sponsor, but no bullshit, Arctic saved me $700 on Easter. I was seriously tempted by the Guitar Center Easter sale that brought the price of the Moog Slim Phatty down to Moog Minitaur territory. Before I ran out and bought one though, I did my research and listened to some patches people had made on the Phatty. I then reproduced even Phattyier versions of them on Arctic. Slim Phatty's don't have Unison! The name suggests cool sounds, but I've gotten some very warm analog patches out of this.

Can anyone explain the delay fx on this app? I've been using electronic music equipment for nearly 20 years, and I can't figure it out. :)

The wet/dry mix seems to only affect about 0% to 50%, the pan knob acts more like a wet/dry mix, and the filter knob seems set-up backwards. It's been weird like this from day one, has anyone else noticed?

Hmmm I just tested the delay out. It is a little odd. I think the issue you're seeing is that when the Dry/Wet on the Delay is set to full Dry it is still a little effected. The Pan is confusing, because full right is center-left, but moving it at all shifts further left. I think the filter is a high-pass, so that is working as intended.... though honestly the amount of filtering was so small I could hardly notice it.

I'll ask the developer about this!

Full wet sounds like 50% at best, as well.

Yep, the pan knob is a mess, too.

And I've never heard of using a HP for a delay filter, usually you want a LP to emulate a tape echo kind of effect.

Just say it with me, that section is a bit of a disaster! :)

Yes, and the developer, Peter, agrees! More coming today as a result of this discussion!
